Roger has a degree in Landscape Architecture from Manchester University and went on to complete a Masters' degree in Environmental Rehabilitation in Wales. He has always had a keen interest in environmental matters and is passionate about native Irish woodlands. He founded Love Woodland in 2022, with a view to encouraging the restoration of native woodlands, firstly in his own local area of the North West.
Emma is the director of a local language school that is a founding member of Green Education Ireland and aligns its programs with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. She initially joined Love Woodland in a hands-on capacity, preparing sites and planting trees. Her role has since expanded to secretary, where she now supports the group with administrative duties to help our initiatives thrive.
Joe is a renowned local historian and archivist with a deep passion for the natural world and the rich ecological heritage of the northwest of Ireland. His expertise and love of nature inspire his contributions to preserving and celebrating the region’s unique environmental and cultural legacy.
